Description

ASIAN was first collected in January 2013. The Census Bureau introduced this question about Asian subgroups of national origin within Asia for respondents who were of Asian descent only.

ASIAN was drawn from the final CPS interview, conducted 2-5 months before the ATUS interview. ASIAN was not collected at the time of the ATUS interview.

All cases with year of interview (YEAR_CPS8) before 2013 will have missing values for ASIAN.
