Description

CLWKR_CPS8 reports the worker classification for the respondent's main job.

If a respondent has a second job, worker classification for that job is also available (see CLWKR_OJ_CPS8).

CLWKR_CPS8 was collected at the time of the last CPS interview, 2-5 months before the ATUS interview. Worker classification for the respondent's main job was also collected at the time of the ATUS interview. See CLWKR.

Comparability

This variable is comparable across years from 2003 onward.
