Description
EXFREQ indicates how many times over the past seven days that the Eating and Health Module respondent participated in physical activities or exercises for fitness and health. This variable is only available for respondents who responded "yes" to EXERCISE.
From 2014-2016, EXFREQ is top-coded at 70. Beginning in 2022, EXFREQ is top-coded at 15. These top coded cases are indicated by QEXFREQ. Note that in 2023, there are cases of EXFREQ over 15 in the source data. IPUMS has notified the data provider and will post an update when available.
This information was collected as part of the Eating and Health Module. Analyses that include EXFREQ should use EHWT as the weight.
