Description

FASTFDFREQ indicates how many times over the past seven days that the Eating and Health Module respondent has purchased any prepared food from a deli, carry-out, delivery food, or fast food.

Beginning in 2022, FASTFDFREQ is top-coded at 14. These top coded cases are indicated by QFASTFDFREQ.

This information was collected as part of the Eating and Health Module of the ATUS interview. Analyses that include FASTFDFREQ should use EHWT as the weight.

This variable is comparable across time.

Universe

2014-2016: Respondents who indicated that they purchased fast food in the past seven days.
2022 2023: All Eating and Health module respondents.
