FULLPART_CPS8 indicates whether the individual usually works full time or part time. Full time employment is considered to be 35 or more hours per week.

Other variables also capture working hours. UHRSWORKT_CPS8 reports the total number of hours the individual usually works per week. HRSWORKT_CPS8 reports the total number of hours the individual actually worked during the previous week.

FULLPART_CPS8 was drawn from the final CPS interview, conducted 2-5 months before the ATUS interview. Full time/part time status was also collected at the time of the ATUS interview. See FULLPART. The total number of hours usually worked was also collected during the ATUS interview. See UHRSWORKT.
