Description
HIGHBP is a binary indicator of whether in the last five years the respondent was told by a doctor or other health professional that he or she had hypertension, also called high blood pressure or borderline hypertension.
These data were collected as part of the Well-being Module of the ATUS interview. Research using this variable without activity-level quality of life data should apply WBWT as the weight in analyses; research using this variable in conjunction with activity-level quality of life data should use AWBWT for analyses.
