Description

WBELIG indicates whether each activity in the time diary was eligible for selection in the Well-being Module. Recall that activities needed to be at least 5 minutes in duration (see DURATION) for inclusion in the module and some activities were not eligible for selection (ACTIVITY=0101xx, 0102xx, 0104xx, 500105, and 500106).

This variable is available via extracts that are hierarchical or rectangular (activity) (more info on extract formats). If you request a hierarchical extract and plan to analyze activity-level well-being data in your statistics package, this variable may be useful to you. If you request a rectangular extract, WBELIG will not be included in your extract, as persons are the unit of observation for rectangular extracts rather than activity or who records.

These data were collected as part of the Well-being Module of the ATUS interview.
